Timex Atelier continues its modern design evolution with the new GMT Première M1a, a compact 38mm timepiece that brings the collection’s distinctive architectural design language to a more versatile proportion. Balancing clarity, structural precision and mechanical purpose, the latest addition introduces international functionality while maintaining the considered character of the Atelier collection.
Powered by the Swiss-made Landeron 24 GMT automatic movement, the GMT Première M1a operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour with 28 jewels and a 40-hour power reserve. Its office GMT complication uses a dedicated 24-hour hand to track two time zones simultaneously, allowing a second time zone to remain visible alongside local time.
The clean black enamel dial features a black-and-green enamel 24-hour index, creating a refined distinction between day and night, while Swiss LumiNova®-treated markers ensure clear legibility after dark.
A double-curved sapphire crystal with triple-layer anti-reflective coating provides durability and clarity, while the exhibition case back offers a view of the Swiss-made automatic movement. The watch is available with either a stainless-steel bracelet, featuring a custom butterfly deployant buckle and self-adjustable links, or a premium black NBR synthetic rubber strap for a sportier alternative.
