NOLO Coffee is the first decaf coffee specialist championing decaffeinated and low caffeine coffee.
Taking cues from the no-lo beer industry, or perhaps discovering a real desire for low-caffeinated coffee to go alongside decaf. I for one have been drinking no/low alcohol beer for a few years (you can read some of my recommended brand here). However, I've always been a caffeine fiend and felt I needed caffeine heavy coffee. At least the decaffeinated I tried in past years weren't bringing my over anytime soon. I have recently tried decaf coffee by PHARMACIE and Pact respectively, which I have to admit was actually pretty good. I was also pretty surprised to discover an Italian friend having a decaf espresso (in the morning). So since then I've noticed more of a demand for decaf and perhaps low caffeinated coffee. I've therefore become a little more open to trying decaf coffee.
NOLO Coffee Whole Bean Coffee
For starters, I'm impressed that NOLO Coffee have gone with an arabica and robusta blend. We've been blinded by all the single origin coffee in recent years (which don't get me wrong is amazing and there is a place for it – as well as different prices and brewing etc). However, the robusta beans give the blend a nutty taste and I think enhance flavour after you've fermented the beans to get rid of the caffeine – which NOLO Coffee do through a gentle water process.
All options of coffee – Whole Bean, Ground, Pods and Iced Coffee come available in Caffeinated and Low Caffeine options.
