RM Williams launches in Liberty
One of the best (and my favourite) Chelsea Boots on the market are made by Australian brand R. M. Williams who have been making hand crafted books since 1932. Made for people who needed a strong rugged boot for the unforgiving Australian outback.
Adjacent to Liberty’s Men’s Designer Room, the installation is situated at the heart of the men’s footwear department, and signals the start of a wave of UK activity. Initiatives scheduled in 2016 include a string of London store launches, a contemporary new marketing campaign and a calendar of on- and off-line activities.
Built to withstand arduous rides across the expansive Australian outback, R.M.Williams boots are the stuff of Australian legend. Each pair of boots is constructed meticulously by hand using the same methods since 1932. Little wonder then that R.M.Williams’ footwear has earned the colloquial accolade of being the toughest boots you’ll find.
Crafted in the brand’s South Australian workshop using a single piece of leather with a stitched heel seam and distinctive pull tags, each pair features a Goodyear-welted construction to ensure they effortlessly survive the rigours of the Australian outback.
Key styles featured in the Liberty installation include the Signature Craftsman in chestnut and black, the Craftsman in chestnut and burnished leather, and the suede Craftsman in navy and black. Prices range from £300 to £700.
