Orlebar Brown – Jack Shorts
Orlebar Brown release the newest member of their swim shorts collection, celebrating their tenth anniversary. Named Jack, the shorts continue the Orlebar Brown ethos of lifestyle shorts that can be worn by the pool and at the restaurant, the shorts are tailored for flexibility.
Based on the same pattern as their OB Classic shorts and made from ultra-lightweight nylon and weighing in at just 70 grams, this multipurpose short has been created as a more sporting approach to their iconic swim shorts. Following on from the OB Classics Springer, Setter, Bulldog and Dane, the Jack takes its name from the energetic Jack Russell Terrier.
‘The Jack is something we’re really excited about. Over the last 10 years we have really focused on building the DNA of our OB Classic shorts and now seems like perfect time to introduce a new member of the family. The opportunities are endless but sourcing the right fabric was key. The lightness and flexibility of these shorts make them perfect for the gym and sports as well as a dip in the pool.’ — Adam Brown, founder of Orlebar Brown
With 13% stretch in the fabric and a part-elasticated waistband for increased movement, the Jack adds to their increasingly diverse swim range. The company already offers an impressive swim range from flat colour shorts and geometric prints to photographic and special editions as well as a personalised Design Your Own service. The Jack is designed to be flexible in function while remaining true to the signature aesthetic of Orlebar Brown’s classic swim shorts.
Available as part of their new Spring 2017 collection, the Jack comes in three colourways — navy, bluestone and Pomodoro – priced £95
