Levi’s 501 CT x Mr Porter
I’ve been getting into denim quite a bit lately, which, as time goes on will become more noticeable. You’ll be able to join me in my journey of denim and indigo discovery. But as denim goes through a bit of a purple patch, its good to remember the heritage denim brands that helped introduce us to one of the most recognisable pieces of clothing from the last 100 years. One of the most iconic and recognisable of those jeans has to be the Levi’s 501.
Updating the classic model for modern tastes and desires, Levi’s have released the 501 CT – a jean with a Customised Taper, bowing down to continual requests for a slight taper. It’s true to say that as we’ve been getting more familiar with certain personal styling, we’re becoming more and more discerning and taking clothes to tailors to make various alterations to match our personality. Levi’s has noticed the particular popularity in tapering trousers and jeans as men are preferring the slimmer given fresh life to their legendary jean.
The updated classic can be found on Mr Porter, where an exclusive selection of limited editions has been made with selvedge denim from the world famous White Oak Cone Mills. A hundred pairs of each model has been produced by Levi’s innovation lab, Eureka, in San Francisco. Each pair took around 72 hours to handmade, making them particular collector items. Each pair will also feature exclusive Eureka lab stamp on the inside pocket.
