Knickerbocker Mfg Barn Coat
When I was in New York a few years ago I made a point of visiting Knickerbocker Mfg who had reached my radar a couple of years previously. Taking over a factory to inject a line of USA Made collections, Andrew Livingstone built a dedicated team of crafts people and technicians producing a range of hats, jackets and trousers inspired by a golden age of American manufacturing with aesthetic values akin to those pioneering industrial times.
They have just released their new Barn Coat with inspiration taken from chore jackets old made in a robust cotton perfect for working in or wearing as an outer layer. Four front pockets allow for multiple usage – I’d use the bottom ones for placing my hands in for relaxed composed stance while standing. Cut with a raglan sleeve for comfort.
“One of our most favored items has always been our chore coat. To bring something new to the table, yet still consistent, we took back to the drawing board to provide a new iteration: The Barn Coat. A daily staple of the past, we have given this classic silhouette a contemporary fit and have produced it in a series of neutral colors to pair well with the rest of the items in your wardrobe.” – Andrew Livingstone
