Ally Capellino x Tokyo Bike – Frances backpack £145
A new collaboration just launched between Ally Capellino and tokyobike has got me very excited. I’ve been a fan of Ally’s bag for a few years now. Mixing practicality and quality are the best things one can do, and the bags always turn out really good. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Ally herself and a couple of her design team and admire their attention to style and function while combining it with quality materials.
Ally Capellino’s signature Frances backpack has been given some cycling friendly additions with their new collaborative endeavour with tokyobike. They new edition bag includes a proofed nylon exterior (slightly bigger than it’s previous version) and combines a reflective strip and loop for a cycle light. It comes in three colours of blue, grey, and yellow, echoing tokyobike’s colours.
Inside the bag you’ll find a compartment for your laptop and anything else one requires while cycling. Of course the nike friendly features will appeal to urban cyclists who cycle to work or get about town on the weekend with two wheels. The body of the bag is made with a proofed nylon while the base is proofed canvas for a more sturdy and durable wear considering that’s where the weight and general wear and tear will be most affected. A large front pocket with bridle leather fastening sits on the front while nylon handles finish of the bag to offer a comfortable carrying alternative.
The collection will be available from Ally Capellino’s three London shops and website, and tokyobike London, New York and Tokyo. To celebrate the launch, Ally Capellino are hosting an event on the 23rd of March at their Marylebone Shop in London. To attend you can RSVP here.
